A high-profile supporter of President Donald Trump is a senior Scientologist who has used access to some of his top White House aides to push the church, which wants her to be its 'Tom Cruise for politics', DailyMail.com can reveal.

Singer Joy Villa has been praised on Twitter by the president, posed with Ivanka and Lara Trump, and appeared at the Grammy Awards twice in dresses with provocative conservative messages.

She has expressed an interest in running for Congress and also courted controversy by claiming that Trump's ex-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski harassed her by slapping her on the bottom, an allegation he denies strongly.

This week she is attending CPAC, the conservative conference which will hear from Mike Pence and other top Trump aides. She was also invited to a White House Christmas party.

But DailyMail.com has learned that Villa is accused by her former manager of being 'directed by Scientology handlers' and of misrepresenting herself as a 'born-again Christian' rather than a fully-fledged follower of Scientology.

Gregory Baxley, who ran erotic site called Urban Bombshells at the time, told DailyMail.com: 'Joy has created this persona where she is very conservative, but that's not who she really is.'

Scientology has no known followers in Congress and the election of a member of the church to the House of Representatives would be a significant breakthrough for it.

Villa is seen in footage obtained by DailyMail.com presenting a video to Kellyanne Conway, one of Trump's most high-profile aides. 

The DVD is made by a leading Scientologist and seen by the religion's critics as part of its propaganda drive.

And Villa is also revealed as a former adult model with a self-proclaimed 'fetish' for in 'bondage'- something she appears not to have mentioned as she met conservatives to push her ambitions to run for Congress in Florida.

There are also questions over whether she has attempted to mislead people about her age. 

The singer has seen her career benefit from aligning herself with Trump, particularly with two high-profile appearances at the Grammy Awards wearing a 'Make America Great Again' dress in 2017 and a 'Choose Life' dress in 2018.

In October she was tweeted about by Trump himself, and she has made a series of appearances on television, particularly on Fox News, talking about her support for the president.

However Villa's former manager, Robbie Olson, has told DailyMail.com that she is being used by Scientology.

'Scientology is using Joy Villa to get their foot in the door of the White House and politics,' Olson said.

He managed Villa last year, starting with a Republican event in Arizona, but says now that she is a tool of the controversial religion.

'I think Scientology saw her as a rising star in politics something they never really infiltrated and they wanted her to push their agenda every step of the way,' Olson told DailyMail.com.

'Joy was their new tool to get into the White House and get close to the president.

'Right now she is the poster child for Scientology. They want to make her the "Tom Cruise" of politics.'

Olson's management started in June 2017 and went on until December last year.

'At first she didn't have any name recognition, but when I showed people a picture of the dress she wore at the Grammys we were getting invited to event after event,' he said.

Olson said at first he didn't know she was a Scientologist, until someone told him they had read about it on the internet, it didn't cause any red flags, 'at the time it didn't mean anything to me'.

Their business relationship saw him assist her attempt to find a Congressional seat and Republican backing for a run.

That included talking to Olson's friend Roger Stone, the notorious Republican operative, and concluding that she could run in Florida's 27th Congressional District.

It includes large parts of Miami, Miami Beach, and other suburbs of the city and has a large Cuban-American population.

In the course of Olson's work for Villa, he introduced her to Steve Bannon in September 2017.

Bannon had been fired as White House chief strategist and was at the Orange County, California, Republican Convention when they met.

Olson said Bannon told her: 'You are a Scientologist, you do realize that is going to be a problem in you are going into politics?'

Villa replied: 'Sure you can, I'm a born again Christian and I took the tools they taught me at the Church of Scientology, it's just like taking a Tony Robbins course.'

Everybody looked at looked at each other and Bannon said to her: 'I can use that, but remember this, you are 13 times crazier than a Mormon and that didn't work too well for Mitt Romney.'

After the meeting was over, Olson said she called John Mappin, a prominent Scientologist and briefed him on their meeting. 

That is when Olson realized that Scientology was heavily involved in Joy's political aspirations.

Olson said he introduced her to other high level political strategists who told her to 'denounce Scientology' if she ever wanted a career in politics.

She also did not disclose to Olson that she was married, to Thorsten von Overgaard, a Danish writer and photographer who is also a prominent Scientologist.  

Olson said that in summer 2017, as his management stepped up, Villa was attending events from Los Angeles - where they met executives with Breitbart, the controversial website, and conservative radio host Dennie Prager - to Palm Beach with Republican heavyweights. 

Olson said Villa would often appear at the events for the price of a hotel and plane ticket. 'I think the most we made from an event was a $1K appearance fee,' he said.

But he said that Villa effectively did not have a home and based herself at venues run by the church - and that she used it as an opportunity to proselytize.

When they were in Los Angeles Olson said they spent nights at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center.

'While we were at the celebrity center some Scientologist higher ups separated us for about 45 minutes, they asked me a lot of personal questions about my life, etc,' he said.

'A short time later Joy said she needed to talk to me, she told me, if I was going to stay with her I needed to register for Scientology classes and if I was going to work with her I was going to have to become a Scientologist. 

'She said this is the way is going to be, it has to be. I thought she was kidding but she wasn't.'

To appease Villa, Olson said he watched a 20 minute video on Scientology.

Olson said when they did appearances in the Palm Beach, Florida, area they would stay at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, the headquarters for Scientology.

'I had to attend classes there and on one occasion I was there for five days and I didn't see her the entire time. She was taking classes,' Olson said.

However he was happy to continue as he felt her political career was going well, especially when Trump tweeted at the end of October: 'Good luck to @Joy_Villa on her decision to enter the wonderful world of politics. She has many fans!

'Joy was excited about President Trump's tweet, it was almost an endorsement,' said Olson.

Just over two weeks later, on November 15 2017,  Olson and Villa attended an event at Union Station in Washington, DC to honor Kellyanne Conway as the 2017 Woman of Valor recipient.

Video footage obtained by DailyMail.com shows how she approached Conway at the event.

'When Joy spotted Kellyanne she approached her and introduced herself to her,' Olson said.

'Then she whipped out a DVD out of her bag and gave it to Kellyanne. 

'The DVD she gave Kellyanne was called "In Search of Liberty" the director and producer of the DVD is Norm Novitsky - a longtime Scientologist.'

Olson said he had no idea when he was videotaping Joy's meeting with Kellyanne she was going to present her with the DVD.

In the 10 second video clip Villa told Kellyanne, 'kids they can watch it and understand it's like Ben Franklin comes back and takes his family back in time and explains everything.'

Olsen said: 'You can see from the video that Kellyanne is polite about it but I'm sure she's confused but the situation.

'After Kellyanne left I asked her "did you just hand her that film?"

'I said to her what is Kellyanne going to think when she looks up this these people and finds out they're Scientologist?

'Joy said "Kellyanne doesn't care if I'm a Scientologist". I then reminded her what Steve Bannon told her about Scientology.'

Olson said he became aware there was more to the video gift to Conway than he had appreciated.

'The night before the function with Kellyanne we were in Clearwater, Florida,' he said.

'I later found out from Joy she had to take some Scientology courses and her handlers made her watch the movie In Search of Liberty. So this was obviously planned by her handlers.

'The movie In Search of Liberty isn't an indoctrination tool of Scientology, it's more of a bait technique. It's sort of like a puppy dog is used to get people into a car. They want people to think they are 'normal.'

A White House spokesman confirmed that Conway had received the documentary but said: 'Visitors to the White House often use their time here as an opportunity to pass along all manner of items to staff. 

'While visitors' personal views are their own, we respect everyone’s rights and appreciate their willingness to engage in respectful exchanges.'

Olson's break with Villa was prompted by her allegation that she was harassed by former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who she claimed in December slapped her butt at a Washington, DC event.

Olson said that he remembered that she had previously done exactly the same herself to a man called George Harris at a Republican event in September and told her it was hypocrisy.

'When Joy told me that she was going public with it and file a report, I reminded her on what she did just months ago to George Harris and grabbing his butt,' he said.

'But she claimed to that 'it was different,' and she was going to go forward with it.'

By this time Olson says that her Scientologist handlers had gotten to her, he was only communicating with Villa via text messaging and he realized he could no longer handle her.

Scientology had started to control every aspect of her life, Olson said.

'I have to be in control of her life to get on an airplane or show up at an event [as her manager],' he said.

'She no-showed at an important event in Palm Beach in mid-December,' he said.

'The who's who of the conservative moment were going to speak and Joy was going to be one of them. She was also supposed to introduce Donald Trump, Jr. at the event.'

After that he parted ways with her - but has told DailyMail.com that while he had believed in her candidacy, her current conduct seemed destined to hurt he latest plan, to run in 2020.

‘Joy’s been getting bad advice lately if she is planning on run for United States Congress,' he said.

‘She recently posted on Twitter that she went to Cuba for six days.

'I guess she doesn’t understand the District 27 in Florida where she is considering a congressional run in an area heavily populated with Cuba immigrants who escaped the communist government of Fidel Castro and his dictatorship.

‘I don’t think pictures of her enjoying Communist Cuba last week is going to go over too well with her potential constituents.   

'The saddest part of the story at one time I think she had a legitimate chance of winning a congressional seat, now I don't see her ever winning public office.

'The Church of Scientology destroyed any potential political career for her.

'I'm not sure if Joy is a true Republican right now or not. I think she is being molded to fit a certain mold right now and I don't think it's going to work.'

Questions over Villa's commitment to conservative values are likely to be fueled by pictures uncovered by DailyMail.com of her in 2007, when she posed for a photographer as an adult model.

One of the pictures shows Villa covered in fake blood, bound with rope and topless in a bathtub.

Other racy photos show a young Villa pressed up against two other women in a shower, wearing lacy lingerie and black knee-high boots and draped in chains.

Baxley says he met Villa at a casting in Seattle, WA, in 2007 after putting out a call for models to star on the now-defunct site.

She posed 'like a natural' along with other hopefuls for ten hours in photos which never saw the light of day after the venture flopped. 

A model casting sheet filled in by Villa lists her 'fetishes' as: 'Lace, leather, peircing (sic), bondage, vampirism, biting, hickeys'.

Her hobbies included burlesque dance, chess and making music and her interests are: 'the color pink, peircings (sic), tattoos, wild cats, 50's glam, rock 'n' roll, veganism'.

She also said she wants her name on the site to be: 'Joy the Kitty.'

Baxley said he asked all potential Urban Bombshells models to fill in the questionnaires as well as signing a release form.

He said: 'I met Joy in December 2007. Between ten and 12 people showed up in total. It was at a photo studio in downtown Seattle.

'When I shot the photos I didn't have a business - it was still in the idea phase.

'The shoot wasn't meant to be porn but it was meant to be sexy and provocative - like Suicide Girls. Joy seemed like a natural.

Questionable: Villa 'corrected' Wikipedia after claiming she was five years younger than she is but other sources still use the lower figure, including Google and People.com

'We thought she was cool so we started hanging out. Her and my wife became friends and she came to stay with us.

'They were both into burlesque so they would choreograph dances for fun. She was fairly outgoing.' 

Baxley, 36, who now works in marketing, said: 'I forgot all about the photos until I saw Joy in the media.

'She became a commentator on the news and came out as this big conservative, supporting Trump.

'It made me a little angry because I know it is a complete fabrication of who she is and I could tell she was doing it to promote her music.

'She was always desperate to be a celebrity. That was her one and only goal and it didn't matter what it took to get there.

'It rubbed me up the wrong way to know that she was presenting herself to be something she is not. She is lying because she wants publicity.'

 The photos also suggested that until recently Villa had created a misleading impression about her age.    

He added: 'She was also 21 when we did the photos in 2007 but looking through her biographies and reading things on the internet recently, it said she's 26.

'That is impossible. If she was 21 in 2007 she is 31 now.'

However in May 2017, Villa introduced her song, 'Darkness' at the California Women's Conference and told the audience, 'I've accomplished a lot, I'm 26 years old.'

Villa's Wikipedia and Facebook pages were updated in November and now state that she is 31. She also tweeted claiming that 'my wiki has 2 important things wrong,, my age and my birthplace! I'm 31, born in Orange, CA.'

However Google searches for her name still suggest she is 26, and People.com has repeated the claim as recently as January.

Baxley said the question over her age was in line with questions over the truth of her conservative beliefs - echoing Olson's claim she is not a true conservative.

He added: 'I know people change and I haven't spoken to Joy in over seven years, but I believe she is disregarding her values.

'I think people will be shocked to learn about this, especially now she has a large conservative fan base.' 

DailyMail.com has approached both Villa and the Church of Scientology for comment but has received no reply.
