Five area teams have the distinction of landing two players on this year's Brainerd Dispatch All-Area Girls Basketball Team.

Mid-State Conference teams Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton and Pequot Lakes all scored two spots, including conference MVP and Dispatch Player of the Year Olivia Lane.

Pine River-Backus and Brainerd also rostered two players on this year's team.

Players for the all-area team are nominated by their coaches and then selected by the Dispatch Sports Staff.
