FIG Gymnastics President Visits Bermuda

Morinari Watanabe, president of the International Gymnastics Federation [FIG], recently spent three days in Bermuda, where he visited several key organisations and facilities supporting the sport.

During his stay, Watanabe toured the Bermuda Gymnastics Association, Quality Gymnastics Bermuda, and the National Sports Centre.

In addition to these visits, he met with prominent local officials, including Owen Darrell, Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport; Kimberly Charryse Bean, the director of the Department of Sport and Recreation, Gymnastics Federation of Bermuda leadership, and Bermuda Olympic Association president Peter Dunne.

Watanabe has served as president of the FIG since 2017, playing a significant role in the global development of gymnastics.
