HOTTEST DAYS OF THE YEAR SO FAR. WE HIT 94 DEGREES SO FAR. AND THAT IS CLOSER TO OUR RECORD OF 100 THAN IT IS TO OUR NORMAL. WE SHOULD HAVE 80 DEGREES. THAT SHOULD BE OUR DAYTIME HIGH. DID IT UNDER SUNNY SKIES WHICH WE’RE STILL HOLDING ON TO THIS LATE AFTERNOON, BUT SOME SPOTS HAVE ALREADY BEGAN THEIR COOL DOWN, WITH SACRAMENTO COMING IN AT 93. CURRENTLY WE’VE GOT 95 IN STOCKTON, MODESTO AT 94 IN FAIRFIELD. THIS 5:00 HOUR AT 87 DEGREES UP IN THE FOOTHILLS. THEY’RE CURRENTLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S, WITH COLUMBIA ALSO DROPPING INTO THE UPPER 80S. SO WE’RE GOING TO START OUR TEMPERATURES PRETTY WARM THIS EVENING, BUT WE’RE GOING TO COOL THINGS OFF REALLY QUICKLY. TAKING YOUR 93 DOWN TO 70 BY 9:00 WILL BE IN THE 60S AFTER MIDNIGHT. AND WHY THE QUICK COOL DOWN IS BECAUSE OF A LITTLE DELTA BREEZE THAT’S GOING TO PICK UP. WE’LL KEEP THINGS PRETTY GENTLE FOR THIS EVENING. ABOUT TEN TO MAYBE 12MPH. BUT THAT’S JUST THE WIND SAYING HELLO. WE ARE ON THE WAY. SO WE GOT SOME BIG CHANGES THAT ARE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW AS OUR AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HEAT THAT’S ALREADY SITTING OFF TO OUR EAST. UP NEXT ON THE MENU, WE HAVE TWO BACK TO BACK SYSTEMS THAT ARE WAITING TO MOVE IN. THE FIRST ONE IS GOING TO BE A BREEZY SYSTEM, WITH THOSE BREEZES PICKING UP AS WE WALK OUT FOR YOUR MOTHER’S DAY. BY NOON, WIND SPEEDS SHOULD BE ABOUT 10 TO 20MPH, BUT CHECK OUT THE SIERRA, WHERE TRUCKEE AND SOUTH LAKE TAHOE. THEIR WIND SPEEDS SUSTAINED WILL BE IN THE 30S. THEY’RE LOOKING AT A PRETTY ROWDY MOTHER’S DAY WITH THOSE WINDS IN THE 30S GUSTING INTO THE 50S THAT DOES WARRANT A WIND ADVISORY FOR THE VERY TOP OF THE SIERRA. WITH THOSE WINDS GUSTS UP TO 50MPH. AND THAT DOES MEAN THEY COULD REACH 100 IN THE RIDGE TOPS BACK HERE AT HOME AND TO OUR NORTH, COLUSA, SUTTER AND YUBA COUNTIES. ALSO UNDER A WIND ADVISORY FOR GUSTS 45 TO 50MPH. NO ADVISORY FOR US, BUT WE DO HAVE THOSE BREEZES THAT WILL CERTAINLY NOTICE FOR MOTHER’S DAY. AFTER THE BREEZY SYSTEM LIFTS OFF. WE HAVE THAT SECOND SYSTEM THAT WILL MOVE IN RIGHT BEHIND IT. GOT SHOWERS ON MONDAY. WE COULD GET A BRIEF SHOWER MONDAY AFTERNOON, BUT THAT WILL TURN INTO SOME SNOW FOR THE SIERRA AND THAT MAY LINGER ALL THE WAY THROUGH TUESDAY. WEDNESDAY THINGS DRY OUT. WE’RE BACK TO WARM WEATHER, BUT NOT NEARLY AS WARM AS TODAY. UP IN THE SIERRA, WE’VE GOT A WINDY DAY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 70S, FOOTHILLS, A LITTLE COOLER WITH TEMPS TOPPING OUT IN THE 60S AND UPPER 60S OUT IN THE DELTA AND THE BAY AREA. WE HAVE TEMPERATURES THAT WILL TOP OUT IN THE 60S. TOMORROW, THE WINDS WILL BE THE LIGHTEST IN THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY WITH HIGHS IN THE MID 70S. AND HERE IN THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY, BREEZY MOTHER’S DAY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW TO MID 70S. TOMORROW ABOUT A 15 DEGREE DROP FROM TODAY. SO WE GOT A MESSY COUPLE DAYS AHEAD. BUT WHEN THE WEATHER REBOUNDS IT’S GOING TO BE REALLY NICE. SO WITH TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE 70S BY TUESDAY, 80 BY WEDNESDAY, BUT IT DOESN’T GET AS HOT AS IT WAS TODAY AND YESTERDAY. SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE DONE WITH THE 90S FOR A
