The Texas A&M women’s tennis team signed Swedish player Tilde Stromquist on Wednesday.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Tilde Stromquist,” A&M head coach Mark Weaver said. “Tilde comes in with a wealth of experience having competed extensively in both the ITF junior and ITF professional circuits. She will fit in perfectly with the culture that we have here at Texas A&M and will be a great addition to our tennis team.”
Stromquist arrives in College Station ranked the No. 6 player in Sweden. She owns a No. 903 WTA ranking and a career-high of No. 220 in the ITF junior. She also brings in a UTR of 10.3.
She's won multiple junior tournament singles titles in Frederiksberg (Denmark) on two occasions, along with Kramfors (Sweden). In doubles, she owns junior titles at Kramfors and Varnamo (Sweden). Stromquist was the top-ranked player on Stockholms Allmänna Lawntennis Klubb which claimed the Sweden national title at Elitserien in 2024. Stromquist was crowned national champion in Sweden in U-14 singles and doubles, U-15 team and U-16 doubles during her junior career.
