Did anyone win Euromillions £208 million jackpot on Friday night?

A UK player scooping the prize would have made them the country's biggest ever lottery winner

Friday night's Euromillions lottery draw saw a giant £208 million jackpot up for grabs.

The whopping prize would be the biggest lottery win ever in the UK - but did anyone manage to scoop it?

The UK's National Lottery operator Allwyn confirmed that the jackpot was not won last night, which means it will rollover to Tuesday's draw.

Despite rolling over, the prize will not become any bigger as the jackpot has reached its cap.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, said: “Tuesday sees the £208 million EuroMillions jackpot still up for grabs.

“A win of this magnitude would create the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen – making a single UK winner instantly richer than the likes of Dua Lipa and Harry Kane while also landing them at the number one spot on the National Lottery’s biggest wins list.

“The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped, so any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier, meaning that we could see multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star.”

The biggest prize ever claimed in the UK was £195 million, which was won by an anonymous ticket-holder in July 2022. Just two months earlier, Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, won a then record-breaking £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket for the draw on May 10.

To win the jackpot a player must match all seven numbers on their ticket - five main numbers and two lucky stars. The five main numbers can be any number from 1 to 50 and the two lucky star numbers are chosen from a pool of 12 numbers.

A total of nine countries in Europe take part in the Euromillions. They are the UK, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.
