The Gold Cup group stage heats up on Thursday night as Saudi Arabia and the United States go head-to-head at Q2 Stadium, both eyeing a second straight win to cement their place in the knockout rounds.

Since Roberto Mancini took the reins from Herve Renard in September 2023, Saudi Arabia’s fortunes have faltered. The former Italy and Manchester City boss has struggled to find rhythm with the Green Falcons, who’ve endured a tough run under his stewardship.

The U.S. squad hasn't exactly enjoyed smooth sailing either under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino. Appointed in September 2024, the ex-Spurs and Chelsea boss has posted a mixed record of six wins and six defeats from his first 12 matches, hardly the consistency fans were hoping for.

Here's everything you need to know about USMNT vs. Saudi Arabia, including TV channel and streaming options for their Gold Cup clash.

USMNT vs. Saudi Arabia predicted lineups, team news

As for the United States, they're riding high after a dominant 5-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in their first outing. That performance may see head coach Mauricio Pochettino stick with a near-identical lineup.

The trio of Diego Luna, Malik Tillman, and Jack McGlynn impressed in the attacking midfield, while Patrick Agyemang, who found the net in that game, should retain his spot up top. Meanwhile, left-back Maximilian Arfsten was a standout performer, delivering two assists, and will look to replicate that impact in Thursday’s showdown.

USMNT predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Freese — Freeman, Richards, Ream, Arfsten — Berhalter, Torre — McGlynn, Tillman, Luna — Agyemang.

Injured: None.
Suspended: None.

Saudi Arabia will have to cope without their skipper, Hassan Kadesh, for the foreseeable future after the center-back suffered a hamstring injury in their Gold Cup opener.

In his absence, Abdullah Madu is likely to step into the heart of the defense alongside Abdulelah Al-Amri. The full-back spots should remain unchanged, with Saud Abdulhamid and Nawaf Boushal continuing on the flanks.

Up front, Saleh Al-Shehri is expected to lead the attack once again, supported by Ziyad Aljohani in a more advanced midfield role just behind him.

Saudi Arabia predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Al-Aqidi (GK) — Abdulhamid, Al-Amri, Madu, Boushal — Al-Hassan, Ghamdi — Al-Hammami, Aljohani, Alsahafi — Al-Shehri.

Injured: Kadesh (hamstring).
Suspended: None.
