Letter: If Romney won’t support the president, he shouldn’t become senator

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) U. S. Senate candidate Mitt Romney delivers his speech to the delegates at the Utah Republican Nominating Convention Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.

Mitt Romney says he will have to make up his mind if he will support President Trump. If that is the case, the United States does not want or need Mitt Romney for a senator from Utah.

I hope the voters from Utah do not make the mistake and elect Romney to the U.S. Senate. The United States needs senators who are going to support Trump, and Romney, I believe, will not support Trump.

Romney talks out of both sides of his mouth and he showed his lack of courage during the last election.

My son lives in Draper, and Utah is a beautiful state. It will be a shame if Romney is elected to the U.S. Senate.

I am an ardent Trump supporter; I am also a member of the basket of deplorable and irredeemable and proud of it.
