The Kingwood Detachment of the West Virginia State Police announced that they will be accepting donations for the annual ‘State Troopers for West Virginia Needy’ campaign beginning on Tuesday, November 27.

People are encouraged to donate canned goods and new (unwrapped) toys, which will be used to assist the Salvation Army and Food for Preston to benefit local needy families this holiday season. Donations will be accepted at the Kingwood detachment, located at 50 J.T. Brammer Lane, located just off Route 26 South, on weekdays between Tuesday, November 27 and Wednesday, December 12.

“We are pleased and privileged to be a part of this campaign with all who give,” said Detachment Commander Sergeant John Wyatt. “We appreciate the participation and generosity of the local citizens and organizations that help make the holidays brighter for those in need in our area.”
