Desperate Mitt Romney Plays Race Card From The Sewer In New Ad

Et tu Romney? Romney joined a stellar list of characters who shipped fortunes out of their own countries to Switzerland: Ferdinand Marcos and Mobutu Sese Seko.

Mitt Romney has run into a road block. His attempts to conceal his tax records, and the information it contains isn’t going away, so he’s getting nasty by slandering and maligning Black folk.

It’s a time-tested act of desperado.

Romney has had four years to deal with the records; so that it wouldn’t be an issue in the 2012 elections. It’s hard to believe the information Romney doesn’t want revealed is not extremely damning. So much so that it could become an obstacle on his path to The White House.

Romney tried to dodge a bullet last week when a reporter for ABC, David Muir asked him during his overseas trip if there was any year when he had paid less than 13.9% in taxes on the tens of millions that he earns annually; he’d previously conceded there was a year he’d paid 13.9%. “I haven’t calculated that,” Romney responded. “I’m happy to go back and look, but my view is I’ve paid all the taxes required by law. Romney used a rope-a-dope; he hasn’t gotten back to Muir.

But how does he hope to dodge the media scrum from now until November when he opened himself up like that to the ABC News reporter? Romney needed a solution. There was a council of Republican Wise men.

The solution?

Romney’s own version of the notorious Black “Welfare Queen”    ad. Portray President Obama, falsely and maliciously as a “welfare” President as defeated candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum suggested when they were still running for the Republican nomination.

Romney claims under Obama, welfare recipients won’t have to work anymore and that they would just be sent welfare checks. The Romney ad shows only White people at work. And Romney steps into the picture at one point; presumably to rescue hard working White people from African American parasites who just sit home and wait for their checks.

A despicable and shameful ad from a man who addressed the NAACP a few weeks ago and claimed he would be president of all Americans.

Double despicable from a man who recently sent an attack dog, John Sununu, to denounce President Obama as a foreigner whose loyalty or love of this country may be debatable.

Et tu Romney?

The Washington Post has shown that Romney’s old firm, BAIN, was responsible for outsourcing American jobs overseas. So Romney has shown his own loyalty in a very curious way.

And it wasn’t only U.S. jobs that Romney was associated with sending overseas. He also shipped part of his estimated $500 million fortune to the Cayman Islands and to Swiss accounts.

Romney joined a stellar list of characters who shipped fortunes out of their own countries to Switzerland: the list includes people like the late Ferdinand Marcos and Mobutu Sese Seko although in their cases it was clearly ill-gotten.

Is it only a matter of time –and the rate of Romney’s sinking poll numbers– before we see a Rev. Jeremiah Wright ad?
